That’s why, throughout my time in Congress, my team and I have prioritized efforts to remain accessible to our neighbors across the district. We are always working hard to improve upon the level of assistance we provide.
In 2017, we were proud to be recognized for accessibility when, according to reporting by The Hill, we were in the top 1% of Congress for Town Hall meetings.
With over 250 Town Hall meetings on the books, I’ve learned a great deal from listening to folks across the district and from all walks of life. Whether we are talking about national issues like the impact of the tax reform bill or discussing local ones, I always appreciate the willingness of people to share their feedback and concerns, even when we have different points of view.
There is truly no substitute for an earnest, open conversation about the issues facing our communities.
But listening and engaging is just the first step.
We work for the American people.
So by listening to their concerns and making their voices heard in Washington, we are including them in the process of making impactful, positive changes for themselves and their families.
