Association acknowledges his record of support for small business

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Tom Reed for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York’s 23rd Congressional district. The NFIB is an organization representing more than 350,000 small businesses across the country.

“Your election is not only critical to the small-business owners in your district, but also to protecting free enterprise across America. On behalf of all NFIB members, our nation’s job creators, we look forward to standing with you this November as you continue to do big things for small business,” wrote NFIB Political Vice President Lisa Goeas as she made the endorsement.

During his first full term, Reed has worked to remove excessive regulation and has introduced legislation which will create local jobs including the Roofing Efficiency Jobs Act, the GRAPE Act, and the BUILD Bridges Act. Reed has also consistently opposed tax increases for small businesses.

“Small businesses create two out of every three new jobs,” Reed observed. “They will lead the recovery, especially in rural areas. I am proud to have the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business and I look forward to working with the NFIB and small businesses so they can expand and create more career opportunities.”
