“Tom on the Job” Stop at Seneca Foods
Geneva– Tom Reed continues his “Working and Listening” tour while packaging green beans for you and your family. “We need to take care of our families,” said Tom Reed. “Providing food and care for our loved ones is only possible if we can create family sustaining jobs here at home. What better way to understand our industries than to roll up our sleeves, get to work, and talk with people already holding those jobs? I want to create fair solutions for our families and that means being accessible to their needs and hearing their concerns.”
Tom Reed visited one of Seneca Foods Corporation’s plants on Friday, September 16th to learn more about their employees and to better understand the industry’s struggles especially with this summer’s drought.
“Tom Reed is out in our communities working to understand the needs of our families,” said Amy Hasenberg, Tom Reed for Congress Spokeswoman. “Obama’s harmful regulations have hurt our economy, and now this drought is adding a new struggle. Tom is working hard to bring resources to our communities, which are suffering from the drought. This is Tom’s home, and he is fighting for more job opportunities for our current and future generations.” continued Hasenberg.
