Tom Reed for Congress announced it has raised nearly $2.5 million to support the re-election campaign, increasing its cash advantage over Democrat Tracy Mitrano to over $1.6 million.

“We appreciate that people across the district are demonstrating that they trust us to deliver results. Grassroots support has always been the foundation of our campaign, and this cycle is no different. As always, we will continue to listen to and work for New Yorkers and all Americans,” said Tom.

“In the second quarter, Tom’s campaign earned a record number of small-dollar contributions. Boasting a grassroots powered campaign, the average amount of contributions received this quarter was lower than in any previous reporting period. These grassroots contributions are expanding our ability to continue making unprecedented investments into our campaign’s voter outreach and data infrastructure, which is increasing support for Tom across the board,” said Matt Coker, spokesperson for the Reed campaign.

“Meanwhile, Tracy Mitrano chose to schmooze out-of-state donors and fundraise with Governor Cuomo and his cohorts. Even with the Governor helping Mitrano, Tom’s energized grassroots campaign increased its cash on hand advantage over hers,” continued Coker.

Reed defeated Mitrano in a decisive victory in 2018 when voters decided they couldn’t trust her after she expressed support for open heroin injection sites and disrespect for law enforcement among other indefensible positions.
