REED CAMPAIGN RELEASES TESTIMONIAL AD TOUTING TOM’S WORK DURING PANDEMIC
Corning, NY– Today, the Tom Reed for Congress campaign released a testimonial ad highlighting Tom’s work of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and providing PPE to New York’s frontline healthcare workers.
Maria Landy, Executive Director of the Elderwood at Waverly senior care facility says, “We had team members using garbage bags and rain ponchos. All of the PPE at that point in time was headed for New York City. We were running out of ideas, and that’s when I called Tom. Tom called me back 30 minutes later and went to work over Easter weekend, no less. And on Easter Sunday, we got the equipment we needed and my team felt heard. We felt very fortunate to have Tom on the front lines with us to fight this pandemic, and he’s been with us ever since.”
A Southern Tier senior care facility, Elderwood at Waverly, experienced a spike in COVID-19 cases in April. Tom’s swift response resulted in PPE being delivered to the facility over a holiday weekend, ensuring healthcare workers were equipped to safely care for patients during the height of the pandemic.
“This ad exhibits just one example of how Tom works tirelessly to deliver results to New Yorkers during the pandemic. The health and security of New Yorkers is Tom’s top priority. Whether it’s delivering PPE to healthcare workers or working to safely reopen our economy, Tom has been hands-on in his approach to delivering results during these uncertain times,” said Matt Coker, a spokesman for the Reed campaign.
